Biography Born on: October 1991, Rome Silvia Pelissero is an Italian water colour portrait artist with a sort of abstract style, best known as Agnes Cecile. She went in an art high school in Rome, than she has continued as a self-taught. Her influence on a huge number of people, artists and fans, is even more incredible considering the fact she was born in 1991. Not only are her portraits very realistic, but they are also very abstract at the same time. She paints a perfect combination of the two with excellent technique. Many artists say art is a way to “tell something”, and watching this young artist while painting it’s like looking at her feelings spread from her body to the canvas. |
"Everything you do don't overdo it, be balanced with yourself." - Agnes Cecile
"An artwork arises from the need to say something, to convey something; there is almost an anxiety of having to create something immediately. In fact, even though as everyone I have a very specific creative process, I always tend to reduce all time to a minimum. My creative process consists of taking notes on my sketch book about keywords I want to convey, then make few fast sketches of images that could be the best to represent them.I choose the final sketch, add some details and then I go straight away on canvas. And usually on canvas, starting from the sketch idea, I improvise following the inspiration of the moment." - Agnes Cecile
